KINESIOLOGICAL TREATMENT
As a kinesiologist and manual therapist, I am dedicated to the study of human movement and physical activity. With a deep understanding of the biomechanics of the human body and the exploration of corrective movement patterns, I specialize in exercises for improving posture.
Poor posture is often the cause of musculoskeletal problems and vertebral dysfunctions. Its impact extends to multiple systems within the body, from respiratory to cardiovascular, nervous, lymphatic, and musculoskeletal systems.
The Body Alignment website was created with the purpose of helping people improve their posture and acquire the necessary steps for better health and quality of life. I believe that optimal posture is one of the main foundations of health and affects every aspect of human life.
PREVENT FUNCTIONAL DISORDER FROM TURNING INTO IRREVERSIBLE DEFORMATION!
1. OBSERVING POSTURE
Get acquainted with your body's posture. Every body has its own anomalies and curves, so no body is perfectly straight. However, awareness of your asymmetries is crucial for their correction and for choosing further activities.
2. RELAXATION OF TENSE MUSCLES
Learn more than 20 different self-myofascial release techniques and begin to restore mobility. Eliminate restrictions that limit your movement and upright posture, causing you discomfort.
3. STRENGTHENING AND MOVEMENT
Once you have achieved relaxation in areas where tissue restriction was previously present, the next goal is to maintain intermuscular balance. This is achieved by stimulating your muscles in precisely defined positions. In this segment, there are exercises for the core of the body, spine, and pelvic area, which will establish a solid foundation for further activities
4. CORRECTIVE EXERCISES FOR POSTURE ALIGNMENT
After you understand what optimal posture means for you, I will prescribe corrective exercises aimed at improving major asymmetries, such as:
- Thoracic kyphosis
- Lumbar lordosis
- Balanced lumbar lordosis
- Scapular dyskinesia
- Frozen shoulder syndrome
- Internal rotation of the femur
- External rotation of the femur
- Valgus knees (knock-knees)
- Flat feet (collapsed arches)
- Hyperextension of knees or elbows
- Trunk rotation (twisting of the body in one direction)…
My approach does not fit individuals into a uniform exercise system. On the contrary, I tailor the exercise program to each individual, taking into account their current physical condition and specific needs. This approach allows me to closely align with each individual, providing a form of exercise that works in harmony with their body.
Relaxed body posture is a combination of the positions of all joints and body parts, which are individually characteristic for each individual. While relaxed posture is crucial in everyday life, it becomes especially important for sports practice. This is because an upright standing posture serves as the foundation for walking, running, and other physical activities that require optimal load distribution.
Optimal body posture can be defined as a position in which muscles are minimally active, and the body’s supporting structures are maximally protected from degenerative changes and injuries.
Relaxed body posture is not constant or immobile. On the contrary, it is constantly in motion and adaptation. It is influenced by various factors, including biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and psychophysical aspects of the individual.
BODY ALIGNMENT CAN BE MOST BENEFICIAL FOR:
- Individuals who have sedentary jobs.
- Individuals with chronic pain in the lumbar, thoracic, or cervical regions.
- Individuals before and after joint rehabilitation.
- Active individuals who want to improve their “foundation.”
- Professional athletes looking to enhance their performance.
"IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE AND WELL-BEING, ALIGN YOUR BODY!"
I'm Maj, a 16-year-old boy with big ambitions. In 2020, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 3 (SMA), which affects my muscles. After the diagnosis, I was recommended personal training because I need to do exercises specific to my body. Therefore, it was very important for me to find a trainer who is professional, supportive, and ambitious but at the same time very empathetic and pleasant. I found all of this in Bojan. I receive genetic therapy three times a year, which helps me a lot, but without regular training, I wouldn't be where I am now. I am completely independent, which means the most to me.
The logo represents a human figure placed in an optimal position.
The interesting aspect of this logo is the arrow rising above the head of this figure, symbolizing an anti-gravity force. The arrow represents the power that muscles and ligaments in our bodies can generate to resist the force of gravity that pushes us towards the ground every day. Proper muscle activation is becoming crucial for maintaining good posture and preventing postural problems.
My sports journey began back in 1997 when I enthusiastically started training handball as a young child. This experience ignited my initial passion for sports achievements and drove me towards continuous progress.
After completing my education at the Koper Gymnasium on the sports track, I decided to pursue a degree in Applied Kinesiology, which I successfully completed in 2016 (as part of the first generation of kinesiologists on the coast). This significant step allowed me to develop my knowledge and further my education. During my studies, I obtained an international diploma from NCSF as a personal trainer and also completed courses in sports and classical massage, deepening my understanding of the human body and its functions.
The pinnacle of my education was the knowledge I gained from the Functional Patterns Human Foundation Level 1 program in Antwerp and Brussels, where I invested all my savings. There, I discovered an approach to exercise that goes beyond traditional fitness, as it can positively impact an individual’s posture and long-term health. I gained insights into the world of corrective exercises for body alignment, in accordance with human biomechanics. My awareness grew, and I realized that exercise is crucial for a healthy and quality life when properly directed.
My yearning for a deeper understanding of the body and a desire for professional growth led me to enroll in the Academy of Manual Therapy in 2019, which I successfully completed in 2023. This experience allowed me to acquire manual skills that enable me to directly influence muscle tissue and bones through touch.
I gained initial practical experience as an assistant in a reputable fitness center on the coast. Later, I enhanced my knowledge through work in prestigious Lifeclass hotels. There, I strived to improve collaboration between kinesiologists and physiotherapists, but my ideas didn’t always receive sufficient attention. This prompted me to seek new opportunities, which led me to move to Ljubljana. There, I was employed at the One2One kinesiology center, and over time, I progressed to become a leader, sharing my knowledge with colleagues.
In 2019, I felt it was time to embark on an independent path. I decided to return to the coast and open my own space, where I now passionately carry out my work. Despite the challenges I face, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to help my clients every day in my own way.
